Watatu means three in Swahili

Watatu Textil HB is a trading company, registered in Sweden 1998.

We are three friends, two from Tanzania and one from Sweden who love African fashion and African textiles. We think African textiles especially the Kanga and Kitenge, are great products, and we would like more people around the world to enjoy them.

We also have a range of other unique and wonderful products from East Africa in our web shop, such as organic spices from Tanzania and bark cloth accessories from Uganda. 

Purchase of other products helps local production and artisans in Tanzania and Uganda. You will find more information about the producer under each product.
