Size: 18 x 13 cm Materials: An aesthetic and functional item made out of a unique non-wowen fabric from the bark of the Ficus Natelensis, a rare fig tree, "the Mutuba tree", an identity of Uganda. Tre process is organic, no chemicals used and after the inner bark of the tree has been removed the tree is covered with banana leaves and is recovering. More about bark cloth: The Bark is so fascinating! A small piece of 60 cm x 150 cm can produce cloth measuring 400 cm x 250 cm, occasionally without a tear. If it tears, its wonderfully stitched with raffia. Depending on the age, season and workmanship, bark cloth ranges from coarse and thick to the finest and light, from creamy hue, through a terracotta brick red to a royals dark reddish brown.
